Dashe Tasting on TasteLive
Participated in our first virtual tasting on TasteLive tonight. Featured three wines from Dashe Cellars. The tasting was led by Mike Dashe and featured three of their top Zins:
Florence (2008)
Todd Brothers (2008)
Louvau (2007)
All three are excellent wines. Florence and Louvau are from Dry Creek Valley; Todd is from Alexander Valley. All three are produced in limited quantities (only 200 cases of the Louvau per year).
The Florence is soft with red berry fruits. Todd Brothers is the biggest, boldest of the three with amazing chocolate, coffee and blackberry aromas and flavors. The Louvau is somewhere in between, but is the most complex with lots of red fruit and spice. Mike Dashe did a great job. The participants were a small, but enthusiastic bunch.
Strongly recommend the wines and joining Taste Live!
